Letter of Reply from His Eminence Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Paphos, Locum-tenens of the Archi-episcopal Throne of Cyprus, to His All-Holiness the Most Godly Oecumenical Patriarch Vartholomaeos concerning the election of His Grace Bishop Basil of Amphip

All-Holy Archbishop of Constantinople, New Rome and Oecumenical Patriarch, our most beloved and distinguished brother and concelebrant, Lord Vartholomaeos, embracing Your most-respected All-Holiness brotherly in the Lord, we greet you with very great pleasure.

We have to hand Your most-respected All-Holiness' letter of the 8th of the middle of the month of June, with which You also inform us of the election of His Grace Bishop Basil of Amphipolis and his incardination, on the application of His Eminence Archbishop Gabriel of Comana, into the Patriarchal Exarchate under him of the Orthodox Parishes of the Russian Tradition in Western Europe.

We also recognise that in the Diaspora there exists today an ecclesiological disorder and irregularity, we pray that this will be soon curbed, through the implementation of the provisions of the 28th Canon of the Fourth Oecumenical Council.
