Condolences sent to His Beatitude Metropolitan Savvas of Warsaw and All Poland

His Beatitude Savvas,
Metropolitan of Warsaw and All Poland,

In Warsaw.

Christ is Risen!

On the tragic event which befell your dear country and its noble people, we express the sincere sympathy and condolences of the Mother Church and our mediocrity and pray that the Lord of life and death may grant rest to the souls of the victims, solace to their families, and that He may guard Poland and the Polish nation from all evil, calamity, and injury.

In particular, we express our deepest sorrow for the untimely and painful loss of Archbishop Myron of Hajnówka, of everlasting memory, a distinguished Bishop of your Church, a brother and concelebrant; a memorial service for the repose of his soul was held today at the Holy Patriarchal Church of Saint George the Victory-bearer.

May the Lord grant your Beatitude many years in health, dear and much-cherished brother.

Yours in the Risen Christ,

+Bartholomew of Constantinople
