2014 Thronal Feast: Visit of Pope Francis to the Phanar

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew welcomes Pope Francis on November 29-30, 2014, at the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Istanbul. Pope Francis' visit to Istanbul comes at the personal invitation of the Ecumenical Patriarch on the occasion of the feast day of St. Andrew the Apostle, the older brother of Saint Peter.
 

2014 Apostolic Pilgrimage to Jerusalem

On Sunday, May 25. 2014, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Pope Francis met at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher to commemorate a meeting in the Holy Land fifty years ago by their revered predecessors, Ecumenical Patriarch Athenagoras and Pope Paul VI.

2006 Visit to the United States of America

The visit of His All Holiness to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and specifically the Metropolis of Atlanta, headed by Metropolitan Alexios of Atlanta, from January 4-8, 2006. Momentous was that this was the first visit of an Ecumenical Patriarch to the Tarpon Springs area for the multitude of festivities associated with the celebration of Epiphany.
 

2004 Visit to the United States of America

His All Holiness Bartholomew, spiritual leader of over 300 million Orthodox Christians worldwide, made his fifth visit to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America from March 13-19, 2004. He also made his first official pastoral visit to the Metropolis of New Jersey and attended the much anticipated exhibition on "Byzantium: Faith and Power (1261-1557)" at the Metropolitan Museum of Art
